We presented the GIS Association of Serbia at the TeamCAD conference

The second TeamCAD conference was held on October 28, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Belgrade. More than 270 participants, in 4 conference rooms, held 34 lectures and masterclass lectures in various fields: civil engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, technical documentation monitoring ...
In addition to establishing numerous contacts and socializing with other participants, we presented the GIS Association of Serbia at the TeamCAD conference in Belgrade, which was held on October 28, 2019.

The lectures were delivered by representatives of 21 companies, including: Autodesk, Bexel Consulting, Cloud of Technology, Inova, Aerial Video Solution, Agena Technology, ATB North, Banim Advertising, Energoprojekt Entel, Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering Kraljevo, Civil Modeller Raven (Dr. Dejan Gavran, B.Sc.), Gedeon, GIS Association of Serbia , KMZ Contractor, Log Design, North Engineering, NS Drafter, Perspect, IntegralGroup, TeamCAD and many others .

In his presentation, Miodrag Bogunović , the president of the GIS Association of Serbia spoke about the reasons for the founding and the main goals of the association, the promotion of GIS among students and high school students, local governments, public companies, design firms and surveying organizations, then recognition of GIS jobs in the systematization of cities and municipalities in Serbia, with particular emphasis on bringing the GIS community around an umbrella organization.

Also, the importance of opening data on the national portal was mentioned (data.gov.rs), The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the related project of the GIS Association of Serbia: "Safe paths and trajectories of movement for elementary and secondary school students in Bor". This project is planned to expand to other cities and municipalities in Serbia, enriching the GIS database at the national level, which we would like to see in the future, as a free place to search and download GIS data.
